{Life Is Good}

I always say “Life lately has been busy” or “really busy” but I’m kinda sick of saying that! Not because I’m not busy but because sometimes things are busy and you just need to make time to slow down.  We spent last weekend between J’s sister’s new house and J’s mom’s house.  They had small town festivities all weekend at Barnseville Days and we had a fabulous time.

This included all the fried food we could manage, a good sugar rush from parade candy, antique store finds (more to come), car shows, and street fair walking and talking.  One of the things I love about my sister in law is that she’s always up for both a good time and a good heart to heart.  It’s easy to talk to her about the real stuff of life no matter what setting we find ourselves in, including in the presence of eager potato peelers and adamant strong men throwing bags of potatoes around.

Rue had a great time as well and she got to play with Caitlin & D’s two dogs.  She wore herself down prettttty good and we had a great time watching her play.

This past week has been an absolute whirlwind.  We went through the whole home buying process {toured a home, put an offer, accepted as long as contingencies are good, loan approval} and ended with some discrepancies on land lines along with a couple other things that made us back out.  We passed through all the emotions of the process and were glad to arrive at a long weekend to lay low and work on projects around here and just relax!
