Saturday we celebrated John’s (30th!) Birthday with friends and family from near and far. We feasted on grilled burgers and brats, homemade salads, and cake and bars galore.
We spent the bulk of the night playing croquet and corn hole followed by a bon fire.
It was a great day celebrating a great guy. It’s so good when dear family and dear friends come together to remind you of all you have to be thankful for. For me, conversations around birthdays always lean toward looking back on all the awesome things that happen through the year. John’s highlights were getting married, getting a dog, and buying a house. A big year if you ask me! Can’t wait to see what the big 3-0 has in store.

P.S. Loved Jenny’s post introducing her next book: How To Celebrate Everything. Put together food, the people you love, and creating intentional traditions and I’m there! I’m thinking I’ll add this ammo to the kitchen stock in the near future.
